TED FREDENHAGEN, Director  

Ted Fredenhagen was born and raised in Naperville , Il where he spent most of his working life. He moved to Amboy, Il upon his retirement.  He started the trumpet at the age of nine and was the only trumpeter in an eight-piece dance band at the age of thirteen. That band was "THE MEN OF SWING".

His other musical experience was four years in high school band, eight years in the Naperville Municipal Band, and three years in the Marine Corp Band during World War 11.

Ted was married in 1946 and has five children.  

In 1980 after a 40 year retirement from music Ted again picked up the trumpet and formed "CLASS ACT I BIG BAND". In 1996 when he retired to Amboy, Il "CLASS ACT 11BIG BAND" was formed.  He is quoted as saying "This is the best and most talented group I have ever played with, they either teach music or are band directors".
